WHY IS PHOTOGRAPHY IMPORTANT
|
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT GENRE
|
Photography is important as it makes us more connected with one another, it gives us insight onto what is happening worldwide. It challenges our beliefs and reminds us of what the world has been through such as extreme poverty and war, it is important to remember these tragedies as it allows us to learn from our past mistakes and move the world in a better direction. I believe that the skills you need to become a good photographer is to be perceptive and unbiased, when you approach photography in an unprejudiced way you capture more entrancing pieces of work.

HOW DOES PHOTOGRAPHY HELP US SEE THE WORLD?
Photography allows us to see the world through a different lens, someone else's perspective. It grants us the privilege to reflect on previous things in life.
WHEN WOULD IT NOT BE OKAY

CAN PHOTOGRAPHIC IMAGES BE TRUSTED? |
There are legal restrictions people should follow when taking photographs such as, taking pictures of people without their consent or taking pictures of private properties. Morals also come into play when discussing what to not photograph, particular things are just deemed as inappropriate such as, exploiting people who are in vulnerable positions or being in serious situations and taking photographs. Despite these rules however unexpected and shocking images are usually the ones that come across the most powerful so this poses the question of where we should draw the line with explicit photographs.
|
No, photographs can always be manipulated in some way even if they haven't been reworked. When we look at a picture we almost always believe it to be true however, we never think about what is on the outside of those four borders and remember that the person taking the photograph is the one in control of what is captured within the frame. Technology has improved immensely throughout the years, it is now more easy to manipulate photographs using things like PhotoShop.
